UCAS – Personal Statement

I have finally completed my UCAS application and confirmed all the universities and courses that I want to apply for. I have chosen a Photography course at Arts University Bournemouth, Falmouth University, Leeds Arts University, Plymouth College of Art, and University of the Arts London. I think all of these universities have really good photography courses and campuses. My first choice is Falmouth, mostly because of how close it is and the fact that I know a lot of people who are also going. I also think the course there looks amazing. I’m really happy with my statement and think it’s a good representation of who I am and what university can do for me.

UCAS

Today we learnt about UCAS (The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Their main role is to operate the application process for British universities. We began our applications and starting thinking about what we would write for our personal statements. We also did some research into universities and tuition fees.

How much are tuition fees?

For 2017, tuition fees were £9,250 a year. They have not been confirmed yet for 2018 but are likely to go up.
